Buchanan Castle in Loch Lomond

The course, close to Loch Lomond and the picturesque village of Drymen, is set against quite stunning scenic backdrops. Designed in 1936 by James Braid, it offers players of all levels an intriguing but fair golfing challenge. The clubhouse with its paintings of past Dukes and racehorses add to the very distinctive Buchanan atmosphere. A nice place to while away a few hours and enjoy a bite to lunch.

The course is set in an 18 hole parkland course lying on the plain of the River Endrick less than one mile from Loch Lomond and it is a delight, in spite of the fact that in Scottish golfing terms it is almost a new-comer, dating from 1936. 50 minutes from Glasgow Airport 30 minutes from the city of Glasgow on the A81 and A809.
